The purpose of life is not to be happy – but to matter, to be productive, to be useful, to have it make some difference that you have lived at all.  ~Leo Rosten

I love this quote, but I believe that being productive can inspire happiness in your life as well.

Happiness for me centers around all the things I’m passionate about and productive for:  my family, my faith, learning something new every day, and being insanely committed to helping others. Over the years, I’ve tried on various hats trying to figure out which fit best.  Turns out, many of them fit pretty well, and they all make me happy … so I continue to remain involved in different mediums, projects and adventures.

As a mom, I love finding new ideas that will help my kids grow up to be inspiring, generous, kind, and creative people.  From a lineage of seamstresses (mom, aunts, grandmother), I’ve been crafting all my life.  I look for creative + crafty projects we can do as a family, and love to share any tips and tricks I find along the way that others might find helpful. My husband and I are true DIYers; every weekend is a project in the works and we’re always looking for something new.

I used to write to this blog a lot. Now, not so much. I leave it here to remind me of some of those projects, paths, and inspiration I’ve found along the way.

I’m happy you’re here – please leave a comment to let me know you stopped by.  And by all means, feel free to reach out with ideas, inquiries, or just to say ‘hi’.
